I need to see you in AA at Intervention

Come out and meet me September 10-12 in Rockville, MD at Intervention 2010. This will be both my first time having a table at a convention and my first time being a guest of a convention so the only way to make it even more special is for you to be there with me!

Joining me at the table will be my new con assistant Natali, who you probably know as UberDorkGirlie from Twitter, the UberDork Café and the Power Geeks Podcast. Also attending the con will be the Big Kahuna himself, Kevin Copeland from Beach Mac and the 757 Comic & Cartoon Creators group. So basically two of the people who help keep my online life online.

This looks to be an awesome weekend, especially if you can show up so that I get to meet you in person. It will be Reality in reality!

LARPing?

I saw Avatar in IMAX 3-D with a pal and his son. I enjoyed the movie and thought the CGI was very impressive. There were several times during the film that I had to remind myself that nothing I was seeing was real outside of a computer. Since then I've heard about the people that have taken the movie a little more seriously that I did. I can't say that I felt especially moved by the retelling of the Pocahontas story or that I felt any  kind of need to return to Pandora. Apparently some folks did.

Tuber Tuesdays and Thursdays

As I try to get used to a regular Monday, Wednesday and Friday update schedule for Reality Amuck I've been trying to think of things I could share with you on Tuesdays and Thursdays. One idea I've bounced around for a while is to share with you some of the videos that have caught my attention on YouTube.

First and Seven!

Today marks a double special day for me. This is the First Anniversary of Reality Amuck and that makes me very happy. Also on this day, seven years ago, I posted my very first comic online for my first series "Random Acts of ADP". It seems like just yesterday, but at the same time, it seems like a lifetime ago.

Instead of babbling on about myself and what this day means to me, I thought I'd take a stroll down memory lane with you and show you what helped me to decide that I wanted to put comic online. Listed below are the webcomics that I read just about everyday back in 2003 and I've linked to the comic that was online the day my site went live for the first time. Most of these guys are still making comics, and have become a lot more successful than they were when these strips were posted. I hope you'll check them out.
