I watched the new disaster flick “2012″ this weekend. I don’t want to give away any thing or spoil the movie for anyone, but the world ends.
I still remember being excited during the build up to the original “V” mini-series. For some of you it’s hard to imagine a time long ago and far away, where we had three networks to choose from and no internet as we know it today (this was long before Al Gore invented it in the early 90′s).
August 6, 2009 marks the 6th anniversary of RA Comics, though several names have been attached to the strips posted here. “Random Acts of ADP”, “Westerwald Place” and “Kvetch!” to name a few, but it has always been RA Comics.
After re-reading my first Webcomics Shout Out posted earlier today, I felt that I should mention a few more webcomics that I read, but have dramatically different artistic and writing styles.
Today I’d like to give a shout out to two of my favorite webcomic creators, Brad Guigar and Howard Tayler.
Years ago when I started getting more into the history of comics and the process of making them, I happened across several mentions that due to comics using all capitals one could not use the word “flick” due to it looking too much like the f-bomb (I can only imagine that since Marvel has started using mixed case fonts Spidey can now flick something at J. Jonah Jameson).
In celebration of Towel Day, and in memory of Mr. Douglas Adams, I have compiled a list of forty-two facts about 42. I have tried to use as many pre-Hitchhiker’s Guide references as possible and relied heavily on Wikipedia as a sole-source as every good internet researcher should.
